Badlands Photography Workshop
June 7th – 12th, 2020
Maximum of 7 Participants
Minimum number of 4 Participants
Badlands National Park is a landscape photographers dream location as the play of light and color on the weathered buttes, spires and valleys provides endless angles to explore. The Badlands provide endless photographic opportunities and of course around sunrise and sunset reveals the most of the stunning color striations and hues that across the landscape. On or near these golden hours of the day too will provide the best shadows which really highlight the cuts and contrasting pinnacles and valleys.
With just about an hour’s drive east of Rapid City, SD makes the Badlands an easy location to access. This workshop is for all levels of ability and wit a small group it will allow one-on one instruction giving me the opportunity to focus on your specific needs. As with every one of my workshops I will not be shooting along side of you but rather I will be spending my time attending to your personal goals.
In addition to the Badlands we will be spending a day exploring and photographing the Black Hills at Custer State Park. The wildlife loop at the southern end of the park is hardy, yet accessible terrain that yields great landscape backdrops for some of the country’s fines wildlife photography. If you are looking to photography bison, this is the place with herds larger than at Yellowstone and better public access to their range.
$1695.00 Workshop price includes instruction only. Lodging, transportation and meals are the students responsibility. I have arranged for group rates at the Days Inn Wall, SD ( I will send you the discount code once the deposit is received). We will carpool. Limited to 7 students. A minimum of 4 fully paid participants is required. I highly recommend purchasing travel insurance for this and any other travel.
